As this morning’s light and fluffy snow event comes to an end (seriously, use a leaf blower or fan), there are several additional chances of snow over the next week. Many of them minor, less than today, but there is a potentially more significant event lurking for Sunday night & Monday.

Currently, a band of light snow is dropping south across eastern Massachusetts. Little to no additional accumulation is expected. But it will create a lovely ambiance.

7 am Thursday Radar – College of DuPage

High pressure moves in from west today for this evening and tomorrow. A weak system tries to move in from the southwest, but it dissipates on approach.

FRIDAY

Friday – Tropical Tidbits

During the day on Saturday another weak system will approach from the south. This one likely grazes the region and potentially brings a period of snow to the south coast, southeast MA, Cape Cod & Islands.

SATURDAY

Saturday – Tropical Tidbits

Sunday evening, a stronger system approaches the region from the southwest. This one has the potential to bring with it a more robust snow total than this morning’s event.

SUNDAY NIGHT INTO MONDAY MORNING

Sunday 1 pm -> Monday 1 pm – Tropical Tidbits

Too early for a snow map, but just know that the potential for a storm system Sunday night -> Monday morning to bring >6″ of snow to many locations is there.
